The cottage is fully furnished and includes utilities. Refrigerator Freezer and onsite Washer and Dryer. Gas Stove, Propane heat, Window Air Conditioner, Microwave, TV, Linens, Dishes Kitchen Ware and a ton of wood to burn in the outside fire pit. .
Bring your fishing gear to enjoy your dock. Perfect bench to watch the kids swim with ladder. You have a private slip and aluminum boat. Fenced deer-proof garden if you want to plant a bit, fruit trees and wild flowers. Tented eat-out area, grill and fire caldron behind the cottage with tree swing. Big fire-pit by garden.

More Details to Know Before You Rent
The Property
Wood burning stove, outside fire pit and fire place, Queen bed - 1 bedroom with pullout in sun-room. Parking place (x2) is on gravel pad next to house. The monthly rental price includes utilities except for elective 1G internet which is add-on $140month. Looking for a 5-6 Month rental agreement each year. Stay all season or just spend time on the weekends with a few friends. What a perfect place to spend the spring - summer - fall season. In your own cottage on Kitty Island.
- NOTE: The cabin is on Kitty Island. There is no barrier between the property and the lake. Child supervision is recommended
- Hunting is not allowed on Kitty Island. But you can sure get a license and hunt off-island.
- Add-on Pet fee. You must pick up after your pet. Poo attracts predators.
- You sort and take your garbage to the transfer station 15 minutes away. Garbage Barn with cans provided.

There is a $200 dollar cleaning fee at the end of the lease, but you are expected to have cleaned and washed everything and left the place as you found it or that price will go up to cover the additional work and be deducted from your deposit.

Private dock with bench and swimming ladder, boat slip, aluminum fishing boat with oars, Trolling motor compatible, water toys floatation devices. Michigan fishing license is required. Bring your own pole. Fenced deer-proof garden space available if you want to plant, enclosed fruit trees. Very private, with owner on-site across the road.

Its completely furnished and has solar backup system for extended possible storm power outage

- This single-story home requires 3 steps to enter
- The property does have cell phone service, but it may be spotty since the property is located in a rural area. Please check with your provider to confirm your service quality
- There is an abundance of wildlife surrounding the property. Please watch your pets when they are outside
- Wood logs are provided but guests must split their own firewood. No pine inside home. fire stove uses barn wood only
- There is an aluminum fishing boat with oars available for guest use. Trolling motor compatible. There are several floatation devices... but please bring your own if you need a non-average size.
- The cabin is on Kitty Island. There is no barrier between the property and the lake. Child supervision is recommended
- Due to local wildlife, food and trash should not be left outdoors
- The cabin is close to several golf courses. It is recommended that you bring your own golf clubs

- Your safety matters. The property features an exterior security camera located across the street facing the road and the front of the property. The camera does not look into any interior spaces. The camera records video and sound while guests are in-residence

Relaxing retreat
5/5 What a beautiful stay! My partner and I spent a week at Ian’s Place in October 2023. We had a great time exploring Kitty Island, kayaking Thousand Island Lake, watching deer, and taking a day trip to the porcupine mountains. 5/5 My fiancée and I needed a getaway and Ian's place couldn't have been the better spot for it! The cottage was cozy, had everything we needed, and offers so much for choices of activities, board games, retro movie nights, living room camping by the wood stove. Plenty more outside too! The lake and views were great, small walks to the pier at night were awesome Never seen so many stars! Definitely a cool place to disconnect from the world for a bit. Will be coming back! Tristan
Peace n Quiet
5/5 If your looking for a Beautiful Getaway with Peace n Quiet then look no Further. My wife and I wanted somewhere that felt like home but wasn't. And that's exactly what we found at our stay here. I love to fish so I headed right for the lake. On the Property there's a nice little dock to sit back on, enjoy a drink and cast a line on. I even managed to catch a nice little small mouth bass which I put back but not before taking a picture. So I had proof that the BIG one didn't get away, lol. When I returned back to the house my wife was next door visiting with our Gracious host Pam. Pam had invited us over for dinner our first night which we gladly accepted. We sat around the bond fire talking while enjoying our dinner and exchanging stories. We had no issues with anything in the house, everything worked as it should.
