Possible elopement - Get married on Kitty Island. The owner, Pam can perform your legal Michigan marriage ceremony or a non-legal commitment ceremony or handfasting while you're here. Aluminum dock with ladder for easy in and out of the kayak, row-boat or swimming at your private area on the island. Seat for spectators and fishing enthusiasts makes lake time more fun for everyone. This is a private island getaway there are no lifeguards.

Kitty Island Forest Friends

Deer, bald eagles, loons, beaver, raccoons, herring, cranes and osprey are frequent visitors year round on the island. It is wild and quiet, still... peaceful. There is no light pollution and star gazing is recommended.

This adorable cottage vacation rental, sleeps 4 and is a rustic one bedroom, one bath, full kitchen, family room and north side porch surrounded by all windows, closes off to a private sleeping area with a pull-out bed. It has cold and delicious well water and is heated with propane. But you won't need it because there is a romantic wood burning fireplace stove. Open the door to use as a fireplace or close it up and heat the entire place the old fashioned way. There is parking next to the cottage - just ffeet from your private entrance. Plenty of room for two or even three cars next to the cottage. We have added so many cute updates - you will love this island experience. Long Term rentals are available. The cottage is completely furnished, all you need to bring is your food and clothing, and maybe some bug spray...
